Blurb

James Sinclair keeps his life uncomplicated. His job as a trader is intense, he travels a lot and everything else must fit in or buzz off. Relationships don’t make a blip on his radar, and the world is really better off without that thing called love.

When James returns to his Paris apartment from a business trip to find a beautiful, unknown brunette in his bed, his cage of perfect existence is rattled. Said brunette turns out to be his little sister’s best friend, there by his own unwitting invitation.

Mila Johnson has done a lot of growing up since James had last seen her, and what’s a man to do but to claim his side of the bed, with a whisper that the situation is total fantasy material?

Mila is in Paris seeking inspiration for her first solo art exhibition. James’s unexpected arrival adds another dimension to her stay, especially since her teenage fantasy is still larger than life and slipping between the sheets with her.

One night of fooling around opens a Pandora’s box which Mila wants to pry open wider, whereas James wants to keep the lid on—Mila is a sweet innocent and no way is he going to expose her to anything, especially not to the real James Sinclair.

As he free-falls into complication territory, James struggles to keep control over his past and his heart. When his ex-girlfriend arrives out of the blue, hell might just be a place where he’d rather be.

Excerpt

James appeared in the entrance hall and Mila’s heart skipped a beat at seeing him. He looked ruffled, his tie loose around his neck and his hair disheveled as if he’d dragged his fingers through it too many times.
She sat straighter, brushing the tendrils of hair from her face. “Hi.”
He dropped his laptop bag at the entrance and tossed his keys into the bowl on the table. “Hi.” He closed in on her, and with each step he took, her heartbeat edged up a notch. By the time he stood at her feet and she had to lean back to see his face, her pulse was racing.
“Rough day at the office?” she breathed, their earlier sexting running on repeat in her mind.
“You could say that.”
She looked down so that he couldn’t see her grin, but her eyes came level with a budding bulge in his trousers and she had to look even lower. There was a rustle of fabric and with a sigh, he dropped his jacket to the floor. She looked up to see him tugging at his tie. He unknotted it slowly, intentionally, and her stomach did a slow warm-up at seeing his fingers, the memory of him licking her juices off them earlier as vivid as if he’d done so a second ago. The tie landed on top of his jacket.
“We have unfinished business.” He stared down at her as he started to roll up his sleeves.
She shifted in the chair, sudden heat crashing through her at the look in his eyes. Yes, we do.
“Your business dinner?” she whispered. She was in it deep this time.
He took his time to finish rolling up his sleeves. Every cell in her beat in a frantic tick-tock. She had no idea what he was getting up to, but within her, there was an unruly reawakening of this morning’s unfulfilled desire.
“Cancelled.” He placed his hands on the armrests and bent over her. She wanted to lean back, to get away from his gaze that didn’t break with hers, but she was trapped. His lips were inches from hers, and hers felt dry in anticipation that he might kiss her.
She ran her tongue across her lips, her breathing stalling as he bent over to run his lips across her temple. At any moment he could slip lower, to her lips.
But instead of searching for her mouth, he grazed her ear. “But that’s a good thing because now I can take care of other… issues.”
She closed her eyes as a heated wetness gushed between her legs. “What issues?”
“Someone called me a pussy tease.” He nibbled her earlobe and she dropped her head to the side to give him access to her neck. “What does that even mean, Mila?”

I've always been drawn to the magical escape of books and the journeys they take us on without leaving the comfort of home. I’ve been fortunate to have traveled to France, and this book was inspired by a visit to Paris some years ago. We were walking in some narrow alley in the 1st arrondissement of Paris, when I noticed a door with a single plaque with Club PrivĂ© written on it. My imagination got going, and at some point, things got pretty wild. I’ve wanted to write for a long time, but life had plans of its own. I’m grateful to finally have time to write, and love writing contemporary and erotic romance in far-flung settings. Taking readers on a journey of their own with my books is part of the plot. Bon voyage!

Breck:
My name is Brecklyn Brannon, and I’m not who I claim to be.
A year ago, I packed up my promising life in the city for a man I saw only once.
Accepting a temporary job with Cade and four blazing hot veterans should have been my way in.
Except, Cade acts like he would rather be tortured than speak to me.
He can resist all he wants, but I made a promise that I intend to keep.
Even if it costs me everything.

Cade:
I’ve watched her for over a year.
There’s something about her that seems familiar… but now that she’s living here for two weeks, I could care less what it is.
I just want her gone.
Breck is temptation personified, and some lines can't be crossed.
I'm Major Cade Jameson, and I made a promise, too.
One that I can't break.
No matter how hard IT gets.

Excerpt

Cade Jameson has entered the building, and holy alien babies, he’s wearing a motherfucking tank top with his dress shirt hanging open. Those delicious pecs toy with my emotions as they flex underneath the snug fabric, taunting me with ridiculous requests like: Bite me, Breck.

Crazy, right?

But Cade has some serious voodoo going on because I take an unintended step in his direction when he snaps, “Are you seriously getting him drunk, Hayes?” Cade charges over to the two drunks and snatches the bottle of liquor from the table before turning and pouring it down the sink.

“Aw! Come on, Major. I was just having a little fun with him. He had some nerves.”

Cade mumbles something low that sounds a lot like stupid motherfuckers.

“Cade.” Theo’s glassy eyes meet mine like he just realized I was here. And then he smirks at me. “Jameson,” he mutters.

“Don’t talk to me right now, Von Bremen. Commander is going to be fucking pissed that you’re drunk two hours before the wedding.”

“Jameson.”

Shoulders hunched, Cade sighs at the sink before straightening and walking to the table, sliding a glass of water in front of Theo. “Drink all of it.”

Theo laughs at the glass of water and tries to lay his head down on the table. “No, no, no. Stay upright,” Cade scolds, his tone laced with exasperation, pulling him up in the chair by his shoulders and then glaring at Hayes. “This is your mess. Sober his ass up right now.”

“Jameson.”

Cade loses his temper, yelling into the kitchen with the voice of a Marine. “What, Theo?”

Silence.

You could hear a mouse burp in China. That’s how quiet it is in this kitchen until Theo snorts and points to me.

“Your jelly girl is behind you.”

Author Bio
A self-proclaimed reader enthusiast, Kristy started her writing journey back in 2009, reading and writing when her daughter was napping. Establishing her place in Corporate America (because something had to pay the bills), writing became her dirty, late-night secret.

After eight long years, she released her debut novel, Commander in Briefs. It was a long road, but she can honestly say, the road less traveled had the most beautiful sights.

The only thing Kristy Marie loves as much as reading and writing is sports! Especially those that require muscles and a nice ass. Her favorite is, and always will be, baseball. She's such a fan, that she even married her small town's high school's centerfielder where they still live with their three badass kids.

Commander in Briefs is her first series but definitely not her last.

Not every love story begins with a fiery explosion of lust.

Some are tiny embers of hope that smoulder slowly until the stars align…

It was meant to protect me from the things in life that hurt.
I could live, I could laugh, but at least I didn’t have to love.
Loving was dangerous and I would never do it again.

It was working just fine, until the bubble burst.
It let in danger.
It let in light.
It let in…him.

Unknowingly I’d been living in the dark, feeling my way.
He filled my world with starlight.
He showed me how to move on to the next level.
He made me feel again.

Excerpt

With trembling fingers, I tapped at my phone screen, sobbing because I connected the call and then cut it off in my haste. I couldn’t handle technology; I just needed him. I was about to throw in the towel and just sit on the curb and cry when it rang. His stupid face appeared on the screen, and my heart leapt. He knew. He knew I needed him.
Choking at the urgency to hear his voice, I tried again to get my fingers to cooperate, and, finally, they did.
“Hello?” There was pleading in my tone. “Ziggy?
There was a short stretch of silence, and I thought maybe I’d fucked up the call again when suddenly he spoke. “Bea? What’s wrong?”
“Zig—” A sob cut me off.
“Bea, where are you? What’s going on?”
“I need you,” I whispered.
“Tell me where?” he said with a steady determination that filled me with exactly the comfort I needed right then. He was coming. It was going to be ok. I looked up helplessly at my surroundings for a road name I could tell him.
“Um,” I faltered. “I don’t know, I—” Fresh tears ran down my face, and I wiped at them with the back of my hand, only then noticing the blood. “Oh God,” I gasped.
“Bea, please. You’re scaring me. Are you hurt?”
“No,” I assured him quickly. “I just…” I didn’t even know where to start.
“I need to know where you are. Calm down. I’m here. Take a deep breath and try to tell me where I need to go to find you. I’m coming. Okay? Now just tell me where.”
I turned in place, looking for something I knew. I walked these streets every day, and they’d never felt so alien to me. He was the only thing that felt safe right then, but guilt swept over me, and I tried to pull myself together. I must have been freaking him out, and that wasn’t fair. Nothing around me seemed familiar, even though I knew it was; I was so disorientated. I needed to do what he told me and take a breath.
He was coming to get me.
It was ok.
“Dean Street,” I told him as soon as I laid eyes on the street sign, relieved to be tuning back in but feeling so stupid that I was so close to home and couldn’t even focus enough to realise it. “At the Shaftsbury Avenue end, on the corner.”
“I’m coming. Please just tell me you’re okay,” he said desperately into the phone.
