Title: Hawk's Property
Series: Insurgents MC #1
Author: Chiah Wilder
Genre: MC Romance
Release Date: October 27, 2015
From the first time Hawk saw her, he knew he wanted to do dirty things to her in his bed.
Hawk, the muscled, tatted, badass Vice President of the Insurgents Motorcycle Club, sees women as bed warmers, nothing more. He never stays with the same woman, and although there are plenty of women who want to be his old lady, he wants none of that.
He doesn't date.
He doesn't let chicks ride on the back of his bike.
He doesn't fall in love.
And that suits him just fine until he meets her whose eyes light a fire in him. Problem is she's not so easy to get into his bed. Hawk wants her. And when Hawk wants something he takes it.
Cara Minelli doesn't want to go to the biker bar, but her friend talks her into it. Swearing off men since she caught her fiancé cheating on her right before her wedding, she has buried herself in her career not wanting a man in her life. Until she sees him. He is sexy, rough, crude, and oh so very wrong for her. So why can't she stop thinking of all the nasty things he'll do to her if she relents and lets him in her bed?
Then a vicious killer who has been strangling women in the area focuses on Cara. Police think bikers are involved. Can Cara set aside her trust issues and let Hawk into her life?
Hawk sees it as his job to protect what is his...and Cara is very much his even if she doesn't know it yet. Cara keeps her heart guarded, but when danger comes calling, their lives collide. Hawk will stop at nothing to keep Cara safe and make her “Property of Hawk”.
The Insurgents MC series are standalone romance novels. Hawk’s Property is Book One in the series. This book contains violence, strong language, and steamy sexual scenes. HEA. No cliffhangers. The book is intended for readers over the age of 18
**5 Stars*****
When I hear or see the words MC on any book cover, synopsis or review, I drop EVERYTHING and grab it as fast as I can.. More often than not though, those type of books tend to evolve around the same/similar cliche factor of a dirty talking biker, claiming an innocent yet feisty girl as his even though she doesn't know it yet.. Then we get that typical "church attendance" followed by some sort of brawl or trouble between a different MC group.. That's just an example of what I have witness. And there is nothing wrong with those plot line, IF it wasn't predictable, boring or no where near being addictive.
NOW.
With HAWK'S PROPERTY? Jesus bloody hell!! We not only get an amazing story, but soulful characters, heartfelt development and a writing style that can only ever be considered a gift.
BLOODY. LOVED. THIS. BOOK.
HAWK'S PROPERTY is the exact reason I am a complete MC addict. Those tattooed, sexy, filthy mouthed and all things alpha men? There is no question, that right there is my true weakness. Hawk's Property is a clear example.
This was also one of those books that I couldn't stop thinking about even though I had a pile of other ARCs to get through. Nope. It just wasn't happening. Hawk and Cara's story stuck with me and even now, just thinking about Book 2, I think I might go even more insane just thinking about the wait!!
SEXY AS HELL.
ADDICTIVE ON ANOTHER LEVEL.
DARK.
RAW.
EMOTIONAL.
FASCINATING.
STEAMY.
ATTITUDE.
SINFUL.
Chaih Wilder's writing is simply perfect. She captured the MC world so well, it always felt like I was hovering above the MC grounds of either of their property.. Where ever the author was taking us or no matter what mindset we were in, it was as easy to follow and fall in love as it is to breathe. Simple. I admire authors that can create such astounding stories that are a long way from being simple, lighthearted and easy, turning it into something that touches every inch of your soul, mind and heart. Not to be sugarcoating anything, but being a writer myself I can only ever wish to have this type of impact as she did with Hawk's Property.
Hawk is the VP of the Insurgents Motorcycle Club who among other things, does not do double dipping when it comes to women.. or at least he doesn't do the whole relationship/ dating thing. With his sexy as sin attitude not to mention good looks, those tattoos just call trouble and that filthy mouth of his that craves the inner monster in me to just... go insane?! I think any girl in their right mind *cough* as sane as you can be around a guy like Hawk, would DROOL at the thought of being his. HIS PROPERTY. Jesus. Oh dear Lord, help me for I have sinned.. Pointing a finger at Hawk will surely result in anything but saving grace..
OK.
Getting my head out of the damn gutter, let's get back to it. More Hawk talk right?? *evil grin*
Then we have Cara, a girl who knows has a true belief behind swearing off men for the no good that her cheating ex brought upon her. In all honestly, I think cheating on someone that might have the "love" element involved, is one of the fastest and saddest ways to break someones heart and mindset that instantly clouds if not erases the possibility of TRUST coming back.. It's just not possible to get back at full force BUT, now you get to see how Hawk truly see an enviable creature. He does something to Cara's emotional stability and feelings that make her rethink all the damn mistakes her ex inflicted upon her heart.
Hawk put a new meaning to VIBES SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS..
From the moment that they meet, they have that sexy as hell but fun to read banter between them. ANGER + INTENSE VIBES can only end with one emotion on their minds..
I absolutely loved the way Hawk was introduced into Cara's life. It wasn't forceful but being an MC and the alpha that he is, it was one hell of a panty melting moment. I literally COULD NOT GET ENOUGH of Hawk's personality. And I won't admit that I might have drooled once or "twice" when it came to the way he always reminded her that she was HIS and LAID CLAIM on her whenever he thought it was needed.
Can you not blame me for being a sucker when it comes to all things alpha, sexiness, tattooed and tall men? Yeah. I have no regrets, but my sanity might :/ How the hell am I supposed to NOT compare the guys I date after reading a fictional character no less, like Hawk? Don't get me wrong, I don't do the judgmental thing, but those vibes when you know you haven't met the right guy yet are just too damn strong..
Both Cara and Hawk go on a journey that is a mix of many counter balanced aspects.
They want to be together but there are often things that get in their way.
He wants/NEEDS to keep her safe at all times, every second, but it's proving to be harder with a murderer running lose AND aiming for Cara.
She is his, HAWK's PROPERTY and he know it. Cara thinks he knows it too but her heart isn't fully mended yet, it isn't as ready as she might have thought it should be..
Regardless, Hawk is still in her life and he WILL keep it that way no matter what. But. The great big BUT comes along when they both realize what could be in danger.
HAWK'S PROPERTY is a very fast faced, book that balances out every element in making it too sexy for you not to have a glass of wine or boyfriend next to you.. It's easy to follow and keep your mind 100% into it, thanks to the breathtakingly good writing, but at the same time it's very fascinating, especially how the story progresses.. The development between the two of them has been one of my favorite parts, and that's hard to admit considering how much I love the entire book.
Hawk and Cara both have a past that still haunts them, both mentally and physically. A past that affects many of their current decisions, choices and POV. But a past is a past, what works out so well, is how they each handled it when it came the growth of their relationship.. It was both sexy and intense from the strong chemistry that often started with arguments and anger, and that was balanced out by the soulful, heartbreaking and very sweet moments we often see between them.
I could literally go on for hours with the love I have for this book, but I'll leave you guys to find out for yourself.. (and truth be told, I'm just eager to to do another re-read even though I finished it not mere couple hours ago.. no regrets..)
THANK YOU so much to the author, Chiah Wilder in providing an ARC of a book that I now how dear to my all things MC-And-alpha-tattooed-men heart, and let's be honest, that's probably a good 90% ;)
I CANNOT bloody keep still waiting for Book 2, which can only mean finding another MC book to pass the time with. Until then, make sure you let me know your thoughts one you get your fill of Hawk - Sighhhh - and the world that evolves around him and Cara!

Looking at Cara with slightly unfocused eyes, Sherrie turned around on her bar stool, trying to get the bartender’s attention. Cara watched the various patrons as they came up to order their drinks. The majority of them were men, and the few women in the bar were dressed in provocative clothing: short skirts, barely-there tops, skin-tight jeans, and spandex dresses. Her blue jeans and sleeveless, knit black top made her look like the poster woman for prim and proper. Sherrie, dressed in a tight black dress with silver studs and buckles, had told her to “slut it up a bit,” but Cara didn’t feel comfortable wearing anything too revealing in a biker bar. Seeing all the women strutting their stuff, she realized she stuck out like a sore thumb. She jumped when the entrance door slammed, making Sherrie laugh.
“God, you’re nervous.”
“These aren’t the type of people I usually hang with.” Cara looked toward the door and watched a tall guy heading toward the bar. She gasped when he came into full view.
Her first impression was of raw power and sex. He was gorgeous, with shoulder-length black hair tied back in a ponytail. Sporting a nice build—muscular, but not bodybuilder-like—he wore two earrings in his right ear, jeans which fit him snugly around his legs and crotch, and a t-shirt that molded over his sculpted abs. A black leather jacket hung over his broad shoulders and gleaming silver chains hung down from his jeans’ pocket. He was definitely all male.
Cara raised her eyes from his body to his face, and a strange shiver slid up her spine, making her scalp tighten and her hands tingle. His ocean blue eyes stared at her from below perfectly shaped dark brows and above a slightly Roman nose. Full lips twitched in a half-smile, making her lick her own while widening her eyes. Hard, angular planes, a strong jaw, and a five o’clock shadow lent to his blatant sexiness. Swallowing hard, Cara glanced down again at his crotch, transfixed by the big mound against his zipper.
Looking up once again, she met his blue eyes, smoldering with intensity. Her cheeks turned crimson and she glanced away. In the mirror behind the bar, she saw him smirking at her as he leaned against the end of the counter.
“Hey, Hawk, what's your vice?” the bartender asked him.
“A bottle of Coors.” His deep, smooth voice stroked Cara’s senses like silk. He jerked his head toward her. “Do you know her?”
“She's a friend of the blonde who’s been coming here for two weeks chasing me. Damn, her friend's so nervous and outta place. It looks like she's never been to a biker bar.”
“Yeah, she doesn't exactly fit in. Fuck, she's hot, though.”
Cara’s whole body tensed as her face heated, and she crossed her hands on the bar while he flagrantly assessed her. She averted her eyes and stared at the scratched markings on the wooden bar, running her fingers over the grooves, while she wondered if she should be livid at his vulgarity or flattered that he thought she was hot.
Patsy, the bartender, laughed. “I know you're checking out her big rack.”
“You know me, man. A stacked bitch does it for me every time. I'd love to have my mouth around those soft tits. Her curves aren't too shabby, either.”
Cara pretended to be engrossed in conversation with an inebriated Sherrie. Her face was turned toward her friend, but her ears were glued to the biker’s conversation. She couldn’t help herself; she was repulsed, yet titillated by his crudeness.
“You horny bastard.” Patsy chuckled.
“No argument there. She's one sexy woman.”
Her cheeks flushed as the men continued to talk about her. She was tempted to grab her friend’s arm and yank her out of the dive at any second.
“Damn, girl, that guy is really checking you out. He’s totally hot.” Sherrie nudged her, tilting her head in Hawk’s direction.
“He’s being rude, and I’m not flattered.” Unable to resist, Cara glanced at Hawk sideways. Every time she looked at him, he was staring back at her, his gaze lingering on her mouth. His piercing stare made her stomach flutter. These drinks must really be strong. She was ogling a complete stranger decked out in leather and chains, picturing his lips on hers, his tongue probing her mouth. Fanning herself with her hand, she swore not to have another drink.

Chiah Wilder is the author of Hawk’s Property, the first book in the Insurgents MC Series. It is a full length, standalone novel. Its release date is set for October 27, 2015.
Always a lover of books, she began writing at a young age and continued through college with collections of short stories. Figuring she had to grow up and get a “real” job, her writing was placed on the back burner.
Her love of reading has always be center front in her life. Chiah’s love of bad boys both in and out of fiction has inspired her Insurgents series. She loves an alpha male whose softer side is brought out by a passionate, spirited woman. In fiction there are no rules or boundaries, and fantasies can go as far as the characters want to take them. Steamy, biker romances with rough, sexy bad boys are her guilty pleasure along with brownies, cheddar cheese, and movie marathons.
Returning to writing has been a dream come true. Writing and publishing Hawk’s Property has been an amazing journey, and she is happy to share the Insurgents family with her readers. She is busy writing her next book in the series.
Chiah would love to hear from you. You can contact her at: chiahwilder@gmail.com
